Micro Learning
Studies have shown, that even within an hour, people can forget about 50% of the information provided. This is why using micro learning to reinforce previously discussed content has proven to be key in really letting knowledge sink in deeply and develop skills in a lasting way.
For example, Google has used so called whisper courses where they shared weekly emails on the topic of psychological safety with their managers. After 10 weeks, 33% of managers indicated they felt more confident in creating trustworthy relationships with their teams and, at the same time, 40% of the managers received better ratings from their teams.
We know from neuroscience that there is a link between practice and changes in the thinking. For us, this means that working with repetition and regular practice contributes the development of the mindset of an effective manager.
